A lot rests on Veruthe Oru Bharya for Jayaram. With several of his latest films not being able to rake in the moolah at the box-office, it remains to be seen whether the actor is able to rework his 90's magic through this film. The songs being aired on the television channels have turned out to be very popular and have added to the good pre-release reports that the film has been carrying.

Directed by Akku Akbar, Jayaram plays Sugunan in Veruthe Oru Bharya. An overseer at the Electricity Board, Sugunan finds a lot of analogies between his life and the power supply. He also has a wife named Bindu (Gopika) and a daughter who's a ninth grader. Sugunan is a man who takes his wife for granted, and often doesn't think twice before hastily admonishing her.

The film has an impressive supporting cast with names as Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Niveditha and Sona Nair making it to the list. Penned by K Gireesh umar who had earlier scripted Amrutham and Alice in Wonderland, both of which were Jayaram starrers, Veruthe Oru Bharya has music by Shyam Dharman. Shaji has wielded the camera, while Saloo George is the man behind the art direction.
